We are proud to announce Michael G. Dougherty has been appointed to the MZ Development Advisory Board. In this new role, Michael with consult with the leadership team and provide strategic direction to ensure the success of the organization over the next several years.
Michael brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to his role as an Advisor. He has a 30-year track record of building well-loved, global education brands and serving as a tireless advocate for educational equity.
Prior to joining the Advisory Board of MZ Development, Michael was CEO of Pencils of Promise, a leading global education non-profit, and COO at The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) Inc. where he directed the $74M non-profit as it developed new, innovative, standards-aligned assessments measuring whether K-12 students were on track to be successful in college and in their careers.
Before PARCC, Michael was the CEO and Chairman of Kindermusik International, where he expanded operations from 2 to 72 countries and directed $60M in annual sales of music and movement programs serving young children and 1 million families. Prior to Kindermusik, Michael was the President of Gymboree Play Programs and a Consultant and Team Leader at Bain & Company.
Michael has a BA in History from Colgate University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Michael has served as a Trustee at the University of North Carolina system's School of Science and Mathematics since 2011. Michael has been awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year & Governor James B. Hunt Educational Leadership Medal.
Personal: Married to Cynthia (34 years) and father of three grown daughters. Completed 20 marathons & ultras; qualified for and completed six Boston Marathons. Adventure motorcyclist and outdoor enthusiast.

For the second year, ATP will host the ATP Innovation Lab – a forum designed to bring to light inventors and entrepreneurs whose technology, products, or services could be “game-changers” for the industry.
This paper discusses the use of validity responses to validate scoring accuracy as well as the uses for continued training, calibration, control of scorer drift and the use of OSCAR to make monitoring and intervention simple.
